Banking prelims में arithmetic questions calculation और interpretation दोनों मांगते हैं। यह topic test percentage, ratio, average, profit-loss, simple/compound interest, time-work और speed-distance जैसे areas को cover करता है। Formula याद होने के बाद भी base value, units और percentage change की direction समझना जरूरी है।

Calculation workflow

1. Question से required quantity और given values अलग लिखें।
2. Percentage को fraction में बदलने योग्य हो तो calculation छोटा करें।
3. Approximation केवल तब करें जब options पर्याप्त दूर हों।
4. Final answer के साथ unit और reasonableness check करें।

Common errors

• Successive percentage changes को सीधे जोड़ना
• Profit percentage में cost price और selling price confuse करना
• Average बदलने पर total contribution न निकालना
• Time-work में individual rate की जगह days जोड़ देना
